Usos de “When” e “While”
When é usado para falar sobre um ponto específico no tempo em que algo acontece.
While é usado para falar sobre um período de tempo em que algo está acontecendo.
- When + Past Simple: I was cooking dinner when the phone rang. – Eu estava cozinhando o jantar quando o telefone tocou.
- While + Past Continuous: While I was cooking dinner, the phone rang. – Enquanto eu estava cozinhando o jantar, o telefone tocou.
- When + Present Simple: She always smiles when she sees me. – Ela sempre sorri quando me vê.
- While + Present Continuous: While she is smiling, she looks so happy. – Enquanto ela está sorrindo, ela parece tão feliz.
- When + Future Simple: I will call you when I arrive. – Eu vou te ligar quando eu chegar.
- While + Future Continuous: While I am traveling, I will send you photos. – Enquanto eu estiver viajando, eu vou te enviar fotos.
