Bem-vindo à aula sobre “Superlatives”. Nesta lição, você aprenderá como usar os superlativos em inglês para expressar o grau mais alto ou extremo de uma qualidade em um grupo de pessoas, lugares, coisas ou ideias. Os superlativos são usados para mostrar que uma coisa tem mais de uma qualidade do que qualquer outra no mesmo grupo.
Formamos os superlativos de duas maneiras principais: adicionando “-est” ao final de adjetivos curtos (de uma sílaba) ou usando “the most” antes de adjetivos longos (de duas sílabas ou mais). Também há formas irregulares que precisam ser memorizadas.
Por exemplo, para o adjetivo curto “tall” (alto), o superlativo é “the tallest” (o mais alto). Para o adjetivo longo “beautiful” (bonito/a), o superlativo é “the most beautiful” (o mais bonito/a).
