Vocabulário
My name is Ana, and I work in a shop. It sells clothes, and I love it because it is near my house. Every morning, I greet my customers with a smile and say, “Hello, how can I help you?” They often ask me about prices. For example, yesterday, a man asked me, “How much is this shirt?” I told him, “It costs twenty reais.” He smiled at me and said, “Thank you!” Then he gave me the money, and I counted it carefully. My friend Pedro works in a café. He makes sandwiches for his customers, and they love him because he is friendly. I visit him during my break, and we talk about our day. Pedro tells me, “My job is fun because I meet new people.” His boss likes him, and she gives him extra hours sometimes. I tell her, “You are lucky to have Pedro!” She agrees with me.
In the shop, I help my customers find clothes. Some of them ask me for jeans or T-shirts. I show them the items and say, “These are our best jeans.” They try them on and thank me for my help. My sister visits me at the shop sometimes. She loves clothes, and I show her my favorite dresses. She asks me, “How much is this one?” I tell her, “It’s fifty reais.” She buys it, and I put it in a bag for her. After work, we go home together, and our parents cook dinner for us. They ask us about our day, and we tell them about our jobs.
