Bem-vindo à aula sobre “Comparative and Superlative”. Nesta lição, você aprenderá a usar comparativos e superlativos em inglês para comparar pessoas, lugares e coisas. Vamos cobrir a formação dos comparativos e superlativos e como usá-los em frases.

Comparatives

Adjective + -er + than – usado para comparar duas coisas (ex: bigger than)
More + adjective + than – usado para adjetivos longos (ex: more beautiful than)
Less + adjective + than – usado para indicar que algo é menos de alguma qualidade (ex: less interesting than)
Examples:

This house is bigger than that one. (Esta casa é maior do que aquela.)
She is more intelligent than her brother. (Ela é mais inteligente que o irmão dela.)
This movie is less interesting than the book. (Este filme é menos interessante que o livro.)

Superlatives

The + adjective + -est – usado para mostrar o grau mais alto de uma qualidade (ex: the biggest)
The most + adjective – usado para adjetivos longos (ex: the most beautiful)
The least + adjective – usado para indicar que algo tem o menor grau de alguma qualidade (ex: the least interesting)
Examples:

This is the biggest house on the street. (Esta é a maior casa da rua.)
She is the most intelligent student in the class. (Ela é a estudante mais inteligente da turma.)
This is the least interesting movie I have ever seen. (Este é o filme menos interessante que eu já vi.)
