My name is Ana, and I work in a shop. The shop opens at 9 o’clock in the morning. I start work on Monday, and I finish on Friday. In the morning, I greet customers and say, “Hello! Welcome!” A customer asks, “How much is this T-shirt?” I say, “It costs ten reais.” He buys it and pays at the counter. I work hard in the afternoon too.
On Tuesday, a woman, Maria, comes at 10 o’clock. She says, “Hi! How much is this dress?” I answer, “It costs fifty reais.” She buys the dress and leaves. In the evening, I count the money. My boss says, “Ana, you sell well on Mondays and Tuesdays!” I smile and thank her. At noon, I go to Pedro’s café. He works in the afternoon and serves sandwiches. I say, “Hi, Pedro! I want a sandwich.” It costs five reais, and I pay at 1 o’clock.
On weekends, I visit my sister. She studies English in the evening. I help her on Saturday. She asks, “What time is it?” I say, “It’s 6 o’clock in the evening.” We talk about numbers and money. She says, “I buy a book on Monday.” I say, “Good! Books are great.” I love my job because I meet people in the morning and afternoon. My life is busy, but I like it.
